Had an opportunity to hear a bunch of consumer presentations about the influence of social norms, emotional cues... the take-home? Let&amp;#39;s stop whining about the language we can/can&amp;#39;t use and focus on connecting with the patient and helping them see us as a partner in reaching their goals. People don&amp;#39;t want to focus on the treatment as much as the goals they have that are being impaired by their illness. I&amp;#39;ve always thought great CPG marketers would help reinvent pharma and I&amp;#39;m finally seeing it happen selectively. Good for the companies, and more importantly to the patients who indeed don&amp;#39;t want to dwell on their illness... just want to get back to living without it.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5199522738412628687/8797421473321782790/comments/default/5608792784961026487'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5199522738412628687/8797421473321782790/comments/default/5608792784961026487'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blog.intouchsol.com/2011/03/fundamental-dtc-question-why-do-people.html?showComment=1300357400464#c5608792784961026487' title=''/><author><name>Nalts</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/12079508185343293669</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='32' height='32' src='http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Kf2Z4JR-nek/TQdjP6xF34I/AAAAAAAAA0U/OSTgUfSuN0c/S220/HeadOfNalts%2Bthumb.jpg'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://blog.intouchsol.com/2011/03/fundamental-dtc-question-why-do-people.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5199522738412628687.post-8797421473321782790' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/5199522738412628687/posts/default/8797421473321782790' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-289133512'/></entry></feed>
